Founded in 2003 by Ilya Khayn and Michael Khain, Atlona is a privately-owned dynamic digital connectivity solutions-based manufacturer that’s launching audio/video technology to new heights.
Though initially conceived as an OEM supplier of solution-based connectivity products, partnerships with government agencies and major retail companies have quickly expanded our reach. In 2007 Atlona launched our first retail-branded product: HDPIX, a radical USB to HDMI adapter. Soon, Atlona rapidly captured significant market share in a variety of markets, including Broadcast, CEDIA, Retail and OEM.
Atlona’s product lines have since even further expanded to cover almost every conceivable solution in the A/V industry. Our team of experts continues to develop innovative products, and we have been consistently first to market with unique product solutions that offer outstanding performance and reliability. Our Home, Professional, and Commercial product lines are distinct, yet still complement and support one another.

  1. HOME: These products offer consumers the digital solutions they need to share and redirect media across multiple rooms, devices and formats in their homes.
  2. PROFESSIONAL: This line enables integrators to create scalable & customizable solutions in residential and commercial A/V applications.
  3. COMMERCIAL: These solutions are engineered to satisfy the unique requirements of application-specific industries such as government, education, broadcast, and healthcare.

Atlona Technologies is focused on digital connectivity through a variety of signal formats and types. A substantial amount of Atlona’s business comes from the CE industry; however the largest portion of our revenue comes from industries such as broadcast, entertainment, medical digital imaging, and government.
As the A/V market expands further into the HD realm, consumer demand for products that allow users to implement newer technologies with existing home theater and computer systems will increase. Atlona’s diverse customer and client base is one of its greatest assets, allowing us the unique ability to merge innovations from a variety of industries. We’ve continued to grow internationally, partnering with some of the largest names in retail.

The AV industry as a whole has proven its resiliency even through the toughest economic storms. I am proud to be among you. I am filled with a sense of accomplishment when I look over the last decade of work that has brought a little company that sold electronics out of my apartment, to the respected and world recognized brand we have become today. In the last five years, I am relieved to say we have had more ups than downs. We have expanded our international market coverage, and have strengthened the distribution foundations we have built here in the US. Our staff has grown to a much larger and much more eclectic family, each of which, in my own humble opinion have gone above and beyond my expectations in helping me to write the success story of Atlona. This year alone, I have stood side by side with home theater installers and celebrities; met CEO’s and sole proprietors, and shook hands with some of the best and brightest people I have ever known. As I weigh in over the volumes of experience that starting a business has brought, I feel nothing more than the need to say thank you. Thank you to my staff for all of your hard work. As both a founder and product developer for Atlona Technologies, I feel rewarded to provide actual solutions to the problems my customers have. Too often, users must operate within the confines of their “off the shelf” AV system. At Atlona we strive constantly to not only further AV connectivity, but also to provide the means for our customers to have an AV systems that suits their exact needs. The majority of projects that we develop at Atlona start with conversations with our customers. We survey our integrators, installers, and end users alike to pin point what issues they are facing. This is why we call ourselves a solutions based manufacturer. After nearly ten years of manufacturing these solutions, we have grown to cover almost every conceivable issue one may face in any AV system, whether it is in a home theater, a retail store, or a secure government facility.
