The Atlona AT-HD500 is designed to take video signal from PC or Laptop and upscale it to digital HDMI output of wide-range HDTV and PC resolutions, up to 1080p or WUXGA (1920x1200). All adjustments are done on the actual scaler, which makes it very simple to use and requires no technical knowledge. Besides video upscaling, the AT-HD500 can also converts digital/analog audio signal to digital/analog format, then output to HDMI combining with the video. The Atlona converter has a comprehensive OSD menu that allows user to select a variety of output resolutions and adjust for best picture quality.

Features:

  • The AT-HD500 is capable of accepting all PC resolutions up to 1920x1200 and is also capable of scaling from 1080p to 1920x1200
  • Automatically detect the factory setting of the connected display and output the corresponding resolution and refresh rate, when the NATIVE output is selected.
  • Provides output picture adjustment on contrast, brightness, hue, saturation, sharpness, RGB (color tone) level and aspect ratio size.

  Why am I not getting an image when I plug in my laptop?
 

Most laptops have the VGA output disabled by default. You have to enable it. Please see page 5 and 6 of the user’s manual.


  I do not want to see the color bars before my TV goes to sleep. How do I change that?
  You can disable the color bar display when no signal is present and have only a black screen. You unit would need to have firmware version 6.45A or newer to have this capability. In order to change this, go to the Menu and select “OSD”, then select “COLOR BAR” and select “OFF”.

  After changing the output resolution on my AT-HD500, I lost image on my display, how do I get it back?
 

In order to get the signal back to your display, you need to reset the unit. Please the follow steps below:

  1. Press and hold “Menu” button for 5 seconds
  2. Disconnect power plug from the unit while holding the “Menu” and wait for 5 seconds
  3. Connect the power plug back in and continue holding the “Menu” for another 5 seconds
  4. Release the “Menu” and allow up to 10 seconds for the unit to connect to the display
