Does the HD420 support HDCP (High Definition Copyright Protection)?
No, it does not support HDCP. Examples of HDCP devices are: Blu-Ray Players, HD Cable boxes (playing HBO or HD content). Please refer to your devices specifications for the product you are using.

Does the AT-HD420 support conversion of VGA/COMP to HDMI?
The AT-HD420 is only designed to convert HDMI to VGA/Component signals and thus cannot be used in the opposite direction to convert VGA/Component to HDMI. However, Atlona offers products that support this feature.

Why my AT-HD420 failed to work with a video recorder?
To ensure the HD420 can perform its basic application, please try running a known, non-HDCP source and send this directly to a VGA/COMP TV. If this works, please check the specifications of your video recorder and set your source resolution to match the input of your recorder (the HD420 will pass the resolution being given to it).
