How does this unit manage the display’s EDID capabilities?
The unit will recognize the most common EDID file for most displays. It will default to least common denominator. If there is a 720p capable display among the group of displays, the video source will defaulted to only display 720p on all displays.

Does AT-HD-V14 support projector with native DVI resolution?
Yes, the AT-HD-V14 supports DVI resolutions up to WUXGA 1920x1200. You can also use a DVI/HDMI adapter on either the input or output side to achieve signal.

Any limitation on the length of the HDMI cable I can use to connect to the display?

Keep the cable within 10M (30FT) to avoid any output degradation If you need to use longer distance cable, we recommend using one of these extenders.

Would placing an HDSync (with EDID learned from the display) between the AVR and output 1 on AT-HD-V14 eliminate the chance of instability returning when either the display or AVR are powered off?
Yes, the HDSync on output 1 of AT-HD-V14 will help stabilize the system with a constant 5v and EDID. Please use mode 1 or learn the EDID from an AVR connected to a display
